HENNA BROWS
The Henna Brow treatment is a method of colouring the brow hair with Henna rather than Tint mixed with peroxide. Henna will stain the hair and the skin which will cover where the hair is sparse/non existent in the brow giving the effect of fuller, sharper filled-in eyebrow without the use of pencil or make up. The hair will stay coloured for up to 4 weeks and the skin could keep the stain for up to 10 days (depending on skin type). The treatment is vegan friendly and all natural with no peroxides, ammonia or lead, making it perfectly suited to sensitive skin types.
The process:
At consultation we will discuss your colour and shape requirements, as unlike tint, Henna colours will be mixed to be tailor made for you.
Once you are comfortable on the couch I will fully map and measure your brows to ensure that they are as equal in size and shape (remembering that brows are sisters not twins!).
The Henna is then applied in layers to each brow in turn within the mapped lines. It may be necessary for me to tidy the lines as I go along to ensure the shape stays crisp and sharp.
The colour can take up to 20 minutes to develop during which time you will be relaxing.
The Henna is removed with damp cotton pads to reveal beautifully shaped, coloured brows underneath.
If required the brow will be waxed/threaded/tweezered to complete the shaping.
Henna Brow Prep
A patch test is required and must be carried out at least 48 hours before the treatment.
Please attend your appointment with clean brows completely free of any make up, as any residue will impede the effectiveness of the treatment.
Aftercare:
Please note some slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. These symptoms will subside after 24 hours.
Keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat and friction over the following 24-48 hours.
Do not get your brow area wet for the first 24 hours (this includes hot showers/swimming/sauna/steam).
No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans).
No sport, gym or other excessive exercise, including swimming, for 24 hours.
Avoid touching or scratching the treated area with unwashed hands.
